You will be joining the Maltese subsidiary of Mobilize Financial Services: RCI Life/RCI Insurance.

RCI Life/RCI Insurance is the Group’s insurance company offering a range of insurance products and services linked to financings, vehicles and our customers. Backed by an international network, RCI Life/RCI Insurance was established in Malta in 2008 and now has 35 employees.

Reporting to the Software Development Team Leader of RCI Life Ltd , RCI Insurance Ltd and RCI Services Ltd. A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work collaboratively is required.

What you will do ?
• Monitor the daily/monthly production follow-up in coordination with Corporate head office (France)
• Support technically the local team regarding IT matters
• Suggest any local IT improvement axes (process efficiency, costs efficiency…)
• Analyse the locally requested system evolution and report them to the IT system owner of Maltese system.
• Specify in writing the needs (focus note, specifications…) and address them to the IT system owner
• Keep up to date all documentation describing the network and infrastructure (specification, procedures, working documents…)
• Maintain the security aspects of IT Servers, Infrastructure & workstations
• Support facilities infrastructure
• Support Users on their day-to-day operations
• Responsible for local IT Security measures implementation and monitoring
• Focal point for Corporate Security IT monitoring
• Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues and maintain systems according to requirements (Familiarity with PRTG would be preferred)
• Manage daily backup which are taken with Veeam
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, Vlan’s, Wireless networks
• Deployment of all internal software.
• Managing and Implementing IT related Projects.
• Maintain the IT Asset Management System ensuring that all assets are recorded and updated/removed when required.
• Promotes and educates end users on available technologies.
• Understanding of ITIL
• Setting-up peripherals such as printers, APs, smartphones, tablets, etc.
• Rack and stack of servers, server cabling and patching
• Preparing and performing Quality Assurance on the company’s software platforms;
• Maintaining, logging and tracking issues reported against the software platforms;
• Writing of defect reports;
• Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues;

Who we are looking for ?
• Diploma, minimum MQF Level 4, with preference for a degree in computer science information technology, information systems, or similar is required.
• Familiarity with software testing concepts and end-user testing;
• Ability to identify optimal testing strategies;
• Ability in reproduction and localization of bugs;
• Have experience in Hyper-V
• Understanding of ITIL
• Basic Knowledge of TCP/IP , Vlan’s Wireless Networks
• Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certifications are essential.
• A minimum of two years of experience in IT or any related field.
• Practical experience with Jira and similar agile project management tools.
• In-depth knowledge of IT administration and system security best practices.
• Fluent English, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of French is considered an asset
